Neuropeptides · 10mg × 10 vials
Semax + selank in one vial at moderate concentration.
The Semax + Selank blend is a single-vial co-formulation of the two best-known Russian neuropeptides. The two act on separate pathways with no receptor overlap, which is the basis for studying them together and for co-formulating them.
Semax (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro, a stabilised ACTH 4-10 fragment) acutely upregulates BDNF and NGF gene expression in the hippocampus and basal forebrain, modulates dopaminergic and serotonergic tone in limbic structures, and inhibits enkephalin-degrading enzymes to raise endogenous opioid signalling. In the literature these effects are associated with attention, working memory, and motivation.
Selank (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, a stabilised tuftsin analogue) upregulates GABA-A receptor expression and amplifies inhibitory tone without binding the benzodiazepine site, with a parallel serotonergic arm via 5-HIAA metabolism and hippocampal BDNF upregulation. Its literature concerns anxiolysis and mood stabilisation without sedation or dependence.
Together the two cover the alerting and calming axes: Semax alone can amplify anxious arousal in already-anxious subjects in some reports, while Selank moderates that effect without removing the cognitive component. The pre-blended format carries the same total active content as the two compounds supplied separately.
