Tyr-D-Ala-Phe-Gly-Tyr-Pro-Ser-NH2 · Ultra-Potent Mu-Opioid Peptide
Naturally occurring heptapeptide from frog skin. Ultra-potent mu-opioid receptor agonist studied in analgesia pathway research.
Dermorphin is a naturally occurring heptapeptide isolated from the skin of South American frogs (Phyllomedusa genus). It is 30–40x more potent than morphine at the mu-opioid receptor due to its D-amino acid configuration (D-Ala at position 2), which confers resistance to enzymatic degradation. Research use is limited to analgesic pathway studies.
Store lyophilized at -20°C. Reconstitute in bacteriostatic water or acidic solution. Use within 4 weeks refrigerated.
