Cell-penetrating peptide containing p53 activation domain fused to membrane-targeting sequence. Studied in cancer cell membrane disruption research.
PNC-27 is a peptide incorporating amino acids 12–26 of p53 (the MDM-2 binding domain) fused to a leader peptide. Research shows it selectively incorporates into and disrupts membranes of cancer cells that overexpress HDM-2, while leaving normal cells intact. Studies have been conducted in pancreatic, breast, and leukemia cell lines.
Store lyophilized at -20°C. Reconstitute in sterile water. Sensitive to degradation — use within 2 weeks refrigerated.
