Acetyl Octapeptide-3 · SNARE Complex Inhibitor
Acetyl octapeptide analog of the N-terminal region of SNAP-25. Studied in facial muscle contraction inhibition and anti-wrinkle research.
SNAP-8 (Acetyl Octapeptide-3) is a synthetic octapeptide analog of the N-terminus of SNAP-25 (synaptosomal-associated protein 25). It competitively inhibits the SNARE complex formation required for neurotransmitter vesicle fusion, thereby reducing acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction. Research models focus on facial expression line reduction analogous to botulinum toxin but via peptide mechanism.
Store lyophilized at -20°C. For topical research: dissolve in aqueous carrier. For injectable research: sterile water.
