What Is IGF-1 LR3?

IGF-1 LR3 (Long-Arg3 IGF-1) is a recombinant analog of insulin-like growth factor 1 with an arginine substitution at position 3 and an N-terminal extension, which reduces its binding affinity for IGF-binding proteins (IGFBPs) and extends its half-life from minutes (native IGF-1) to approximately 20–30 hours.
