Mechano Growth Factor · IGF-1 Splice Variant
Mechano Growth Factor — locally expressed IGF-1 splice variant. Studied in satellite cell activation and muscle fiber repair research.
MGF (Mechano Growth Factor) is a splice variant of IGF-1 produced locally in muscle tissue in response to mechanical stress or damage. Research focuses on its role in activating muscle satellite cells (stem cells) for repair and hypertrophy. Unlike systemic IGF-1, MGF acts in a local paracrine manner.
Store lyophilized at -20°C. Very sensitive to degradation. Reconstitute in bacteriostatic water immediately before use.
